Busy Busy Busy!! The Pet Emporium is Opening!!! YAY!

The Pet Emporium is opening soon! I really can’t wait for everything to be done. Reno completes this Saturday. The webstore should be completed by the 7th of August. Inventory has started coming in, with our orders from the US arriving the past few days and more coming next week.

We have over 250 toys for sale! Over 90% of them are from the US. We also brought in our own shampoo -Isle of Dog. Its a great brand that we use for every show. No one else in Singapore uses it currently (at least no other salon we know of) so we shipped it in ourselves to introduce to the local market.

We also became authorised dealers for the Wacky Walk’r. A really cool leash made of a force-inhibiting stretch of rubber tubing which decreases the stress on both the human and the dog. It has won all sort of awards at large shows such as Crufts and been featured on major shows such as Good Morning America. We bought one for Arson and Audrey when they first came to Singapore and were looking for a solution to walk 2 dogs at the same time. Audrey used to pull on the lead A LOT and Arson has this weird fasination with trees. He can’t walk by a tree and not investigate it. Without my Crazy Coupl’r from the same brand, it would have been impossible to walk both of them at the same time. I introduced it to my friends and puppy owner and they all love it!

On the downside, i had to turn down some people for boarding and grooming, because we couldn’t open by the weekend We have no furniture in the shop yet! Thanks everyone for the support! I hope you will consider us again next time.

Finally, the fulfillment of a dream. We are officially opening on 7th August 2009! We are starting to accept appointments and bookings for our boarding and grooming services. Call us for more info!

Robin

The pups were having their afternoon nap when Robin started barking. I looked over and she was barking in her sleep! ROTFL. All the other pups woke up from their sleep to stare at her. When they realized she was “sleep-barking”, they just went back to bed. Soooo cute!

Its a year!!!

They turn 1 today!

Bought individual cakes from US doggy bakery yesterday for them to enjoy. Didn’t take much photos because they were too excited by the prospect of cake:)

Honestly can’t believe its been a year. They still seem like babies to me, abeit fat ones. ROTFL

The biggest baby – Arson

Arson is on meds because of his op. However, he is proving to be a challenge to feed meds to. Now, once he sees us open the packet of pills, he runs the other side! ROTFL. The puppies on the other hand are very easy to feed meds to. In fact, they work for it and treat pills as treats. I make them do sits and waits for the pills and they happily munch on it when i give it to them. Its my big ol’ boy that is proving to be the REAL baby!

Arson and Surgery

Arson just came back from Dr Hsu. He had surgery today to remove a cyst at his elbow. When we went to pick him up, i was worried i’d have to carry him back into the car, but he was energetic and alert, jumping up and down because he was so excited to see us! LOL. Of course, he couldn’t wait to get out of the clinic, and rushed out as soon as we opened the door.

I’m glad we finally got it removed. We won’t be showing at all till his fur grows back. Dr Hsu did a great job minimizing the damage. I asked him to try to remove as little fur as possible, and you almost can’t tell that he had surgery at all! #1 VET!!

Its Unthinkable!!!

I am thinking of getting another dog! Haha. When will my addiction to aussies end? Never, i think. LOL. This wonderful breed is always going to be a part of my life.

I went to one of the pet farms in Pasir Ris today. And..they had a red merle puppy! Shocked. Aussies are very rarely sold in Singapore. They were asking for 8k for the puppy with 2 vac and his Aust cert. Tried to find out which kennel he was from, but the salesperson said he wasn’t sure. He was cute, as all puppies are, but mine are nicer.  Bias maybe, but true. ROTFL. All of this is in my own opinion. I was happy that they were asking for such a high price. For starters, aussies are worth any price!!! And, it made my puppies such a bargain since i charged more than 50% less. LOL. My puppy owners should be happy

My mum was amused, because she has never seen an aussie other than those we own and Boomer, but of course, she felt Arson was nicer. She also felt we should bring in another “Arson”! LOL. Maybe i will. At first, i was considering a black tri dog with gorgeous movement, but now i think i will wait for the right red tri )
